Terrie Williams, PA-C
Terrie Williams is a born and raised Houston native and has worked closely with Clear Lake Family Physicians (CLFP) for the last 13 years.
In 1980, Terrie received her Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology eventually working for Methodist Hospital, Houston Medical Center, and St. John Hospital as well as others to gain additional radiology experience until 1997. During her radiology career, she focused on special procedures, Cat Scan technology, and ultrasonography.
In 2000, Terrie decided to head back to school with an ambition to become a Physicians Assistant. In 2002, she received her Bachelor of Science in Physicians Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
Shortly after receiving her degree, in 2003 Terrie began working with Clear Lake Family Physicians as a Physicians Assistant. In 2010, she went to work for Cigna HealthSpring while still working closely with CLFP providers and our patients. In 2016, Terrie decided to join CLFP again to help us focus even further on preventative care.
Terrie believes that preventative care is important for early detection of illnesses that could become debilitating to you and your loved ones. The issue of one’s health is not just a personal matter but affects your family and friends as well. She believes education and communication are important for the patient and their caregivers, along with their healthcare provider, to best manage their medical conditions. To empower the patient and their caregivers about prevention of medical conditions, as well as their current medical conditions, gives them a sense of control over their own health.
Terrie’s lives in Houston with her husband Dave, an environmental life support engineer with NASA. They have two adult children: Jonathan, who works in Public Relations and Emily, who is a university student pursuing a degree in political science.
When Terrie isn’t working, she loves gardening, traveling, hiking and cooking. “Whenever I travel, I have made it a goal to find a hiking spot in the area.” – Terrie Williams, PA-C
